A star studded soundtrack album featuring AXS TV star Sammy Hagar teaming up with Joe Bonamassa and Robbie Krieger (The Doors) on The Doors’ hit “Roadhouse Blues;” an unforgettable rendition of “Love The One You’re With,” featuring Krieger, Orianthi, Haley Reinhart (American Idol) and rock and roll legend Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top); a moving rendition of “Black Magic Woman” by Emily Estefan; Vernon Reid, the founder of Living Colour, shredding through the Jimi Hendrix staple “Crosstown Traffic”; and a thunderous finale featuring the night’s performers collaborating on the WAR signature “Low Rider,” among many others.
In support of the release, Rolling Stone premiered the video of Dave Navarro and Orianthi’s rockin’ rendition of “Back Door Man” from the concert on March 23rd, a day before the television premiere and soundtrack release.
Additional performers include Dave Navarro and Don Felder, backed by the L.A. All Stars Kenny Aronoff, Carmine Rojas, LaBamba, Mark Pender, Joe Sublett, Phil LoPresti, and music director Martin Guigui with special appearances by Bob Saget and Lifetime Achievement recipients Norman Lear and Joe Mantegna.
The star-studded benefit concert benefits the brain and mental wellness of America’s veterans and first responders. The annual event was filmed live at The Novo theater in Los Angeles on December 2nd, 2018.
“This show has become an annual highlight for Billy Gibbons and myself going back now 8 years,” says Martin Guigui, Director of A&R at Pacific Records. “The heartfelt dedication to the cause always creates magical and memorable musical moments.”
The soundtrack was released in physical CD and digital formats in conjunction with the concert’s television premiere.
